Guane Gamok Terengganu KIte ??????

Kuala Terengganu is still as it is...... not so busy and not so pretty ..kira pretty- ugly lah.. the city part is okay but when you drive thru the Sultan Mahmud Bridge and sneak down under , all you can see is the same old builldings and houses .
The only pretty thing can be seen is the city decorations for the celebration of " BANDARAYA WARISAN PESISIR AIR ".... The Waterfront City.
The Crystal Mosque is still under constructions and we could only snap pictures from the bank of river /kuala somewehre at Kg. Losong. The mosque is indeed one of the most beautiful mosques I've ever seen . I can't wait to step foot and pray in it, INsyaAllah. Beside this crystal mosque, there are many other miniature of famous mosques from all around the globe but I could only view them from under the bridge ...still under constuction.
We spent a night at SM hotel just inches away from the river/ kuala/muara opposite Pulau Duyong. I told my darling to ask for a room facing the river and if it's not available ( we just walked-in ) we would rather spend a night at GC hotel by the beach as we always did whenever we went to KT . Alhamdulillah we got a family room facing the river and the scenery from the room was fabulous.
We also went to MRSM KT , snapped a few pictures from outside the fence. That's the school we always visited 4 /5 years ago to visit our daughter ,Sofie who spent 2 years of pain and gain there. It's a pain when sometimes she cried of not being able to understand the dificult Add Maths while in Form 4 and it's a gain and marvellous experience when she scored A1 in that subject plus many other A1s and A2s . Thank you MRSM KT.
The best part of our trip to KT was shopping....my car boot was full ( normal) ... From Kedai Payang to Mydin to Giant we loaded our car with so many stuff... I was impressed to see Mydin in KT is big and well- organized complete with the wet market section ...the hall is huge , same arrangement like Carrefour in Amman, Jordan., very conveniet to shop. Actually we are planning for Zaid's wedding reception this July, so might as well we start buying things that we need for the feast . Kedai Payang is stil the same, batik, songket, silk ,copper , handicraft and humid /stuffy as before ( not enough space / holes for ventilation ... fuhhh... ) Anyhow it is still a very tempting place to shop.
Kuala Terengganu is nice to visit but a night is enough, not much thing to do or visit .. If you are on your way to KB , just drop by for shopping ( many people prefer shopping in Kelantan !! )...Other than that it is better to visit and spend your holidays on one of many beautiful islands found in Terengganu... Kapas, Redang, Perhentian....
I still LOVE LIVING IN TERENGGANU... more specific...KEMAMAN....

:-) ada planning nak shopping di dubai ka? mulai jan 25th ada Sales Festival dan dari sebulan lalu hingga dua bulan lagi ada GLOBAL VILLAGE ...

Jika datang ke dubai - please let us know. Saya akan berbesar hati untk menjemput rina dan keluarga ke rumah.

I enjoyed reading kisah LEMBU itu apa ....so true kan....bila anak2 dah dari lahir di luar negara ...things we take for granted are things they will be fascinated with...

semasa anak2 saya first time balek kampung di kelantan - i mde sure they walked in the 'selut' of air sawah....mengenali apa itu ikan puyu dan apa pulak lintah....di gigit pacat, kakai berdarah....semua pengalaman yang hingga kini masih mereka ingat.

I miss Malaysia!

Hi Silversarina, ohhh, you changed your profile callsign, huh?
Nice.
I too love Trengganu, used to holiday at Tanjoung Jara, as well go deep sea fishing of Pulau Kapas, Redang, Perhentian.
Also love nasi dagang.
The scenery around Marang or after Kuantan is really scenic too. Used to travel to East Coast every few weeks on business in the 80's.
Infact my present Irene's cherita will have KB and Trengganu in them. Just posted new episodes last night. Best regards, UL.

alahai lintah dan pacat.. I yang dah tua ni tak pernah lagi pijak kaki dalam tanah selut /sawah sebab takutkan binatang yang kecik tu.

cat cat,

Mydin boleh didapati di mana-mana... barang murah tapi quality ada yang tak berapa bagus ( in my opinion )... selalunya kedai ni kecil dan sempit tapi the one in KT besar dan susun atur macam carrefour... akak taktau mydin ni sapa punya...mungkin malaysian kot.anyhow mydin dah jadi tumpuan orangramai untuk shopping.

have a nice weekend !!
