This morning my car was 'trapped ' behind the garbage truck and since it was only a narrow street I had to wait until the workers unloaded the garbage from the public bins and and loaded it into the truck .
As Mimi and I were trying our best not to cover our noses caused by the very unpleasant smell from the trash truck ( I refrained mimi from doing it , not to hurt the workers' feeling ) , my heart and mind kept on thinking how they , the workers could stand the stench, stinky garbage because they seemed to enjoy doing their jobs without even covering their noses and mouths . We, sitting in our car with all the windows closed felt like yelling to ask them to move their truck away . For me , they are the real gentlemen who sacrifice their ego and pride , no matter how stink the trash might be, it's their jobs to collect , replace and discard the waste and not many people can and want to do this kind of job.
Thank God, the alley isn't that long, the truck then turned left and I turned right... being behind the truck made me really appreciate all those men who make our trash their treasure ........ we help them to make their ends meet and they help us clearing our waste that we no longer need.
Tomorrow is Izzat ' s sports day ....he already got 3rd in cross country and champion in discus throwing yesterday ( lempar cakera ) ... pray for two more events.. 200m and 4 x 200m tomorrow...
